8th Grade Class promotes Recycling in Plaquemines!
Under the guidance of their religion teacher, Mrs. Heather Giordano, the class of 2008 successfully lobbied the Plaquemines Parish Government to reinstate a recycling program in Plaquemines Parish.  As a result of their effort, OLPH received a large recycling bin that the parish will empty and recycle the contents.  The current 8th grade class, the Class of 2009, continues to spread the word about this very important issue.  Please support our current students as well as our alumni- all of whom continue to believe in and support this effort to protect our earth.  Please drop off your recyclables in the bin.

Techno-Learning comes to OLPH!
New and ultra exciting for this year are the technology upgrades OLPH made during the summer.  Each classroom has been outfitted with a state of the art data projection system, school pad controls and 100 inch screens.  Technology is coming alive and the excitement can be heard throughout the halls at any given moment.

Project Fleur-de-lis is a school based mental health program, designed to provide long-term care and recovery for children and their families in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Through a partnership with schools, local health and human service agencies and national experts, the mission of Project Fleur-de-lis is to empower students, teachers and parents to recover, renew and restore in order to inspire healing throughout our community.

You are invited to eat with us

Join us for breakfast or for lunch! OLPH School has an open campus so you can eat breakfast or lunch with your child, grandchild, godchild, niece or nephew! We love having company. It makes the children feel special when they have a relative visit.
For breakfast, advance reservations are not required. However, if a relative (or family guest) would like to join a child for lunch, reservations are required. Please call the school office at 394-0757 prior to 9:00 am on the day you would like to join us for lunch, or you may call days in advance if you'd prefer.
OLPH participates in the Federal Food Service Program provided by the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Breakfast and lunch are both served daily. The cost for an adult lunch is $3.50. Federal regulations do not allow you to bring in food or soft drinks from other vendors like McDonalds, Burger King, or Subway, etc.
